Job description

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6AM - 2PM

The position will perform packaging of animal diet by filling, closing, packing and palletizing packages to include but not limited to the following:

  • Perform all set up and preparation work prior to packaging each diet utilizing production schedule and Quality-related documents and aides

  • Accurately and thoroughly complete all necessary forms and documents needed for each packaging run

  • Complete and document in-process checks and verifications in compliance with established Quality System

  • Operate all packaging equipment and perform any operational adjustments as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area according to the housekeeping procedures and checklists

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Completed High School education

  • English communication - written, reading and oral

  • Developed and accurate basic math ability - addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

  • Neat and legible handwriting

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to work safely, adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Job Procedures

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately

  • Ability to accurately transpose written and printed information to quality record documents

  • Ability to work in a standing position for periods of time up to 8.0 hours

  • Must be able to be self-motivated, work independently

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks

Additional Notes:

  • Physical mobility within facility

  • Ability to wear all required safety equipment

  • Ability to frequently lift 50lbs fromfloor to shoulder height

  • Ability to climb and descend stairs and vertical ladders
