This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food production within a fast-paced, food industry environment committed to excellence and food safety.Slicing and Packing Supervisorjob duties include, but not limited to the following:Ensure and maintain the high facility standards stated by following: Company Policies and Safety Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), BRCGS, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) RequirementsEnsure all finished products meet the safety and legality standards upheld by the facility.Complete all paperwork needed in the section.Ensure all products have been processed in a timely and efficient manner.Teach and enforce food safety and regulatory regulations and orient new employees on the job tasks.Operate machinery that is part of the slicing and packaging process.Handle and package finish product. Ensure that product meets product specifications, if not reject the product.Monitor CCPs and complete all related CCP paperwork. Conduct calibrations as needed.Adjust packed bread, as needed, to meet the standard quality of productsBefore boxing the product perform one final quality check on the product. While labeling boxes, ensure that the correct label is being applied in relation to the product packed.Load finished boxes of product onto pallets, then wrap and store away properly.Clean and sanitize slicing/packing machinery at the beginning or end of the day and maintain a clean work environment.Report all food quality, food safety, general safety and equipment issues to department Supervisor and/or Management.Participate in food safety and HACCP meetings as necessaryReport to management any issues and participate in daily team meetings.Preferred Qualifications/ ExpectationsExperience in safe food handling, HACCP, BRCGS orfood production.Willing and able to learn how to operate food processing equipment safely.Appropriately lift/unload containers weighing up to 50 pounds easily.Be able to read and comprehend English instructions and directions.Good hand/eye coordination and willing to do repetitive workHave a positive attitude, be able to follow instructions and work in a team environment.Willing to contribute to a safe working environmentWork a flexible schedule with potential overtime.Ability to work any day of the week.Willing to do repetitive work and stand for long periods of time.Have excellent work and attendance record and attend all meetings as requiredAble to learn and complete a variety of duties as assigned
