Your Next Pour: The Opportunity
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Packaging Operator to support our Supply Chain team. This role will be responsible for This role will be responsible for activities such as unloading tankers, bins, drums, driving forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubber, cleaning, sanitation, material handling, etc.as well as operating and monitors machinery used in the production process. Additional responsibilities will include:
  • Performs activities such as unloading tankers, bins, drums, driving forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubber, cleaning, sanitation, material handling, etc.
  • Operates and monitors machinery used in the production process
  • Verifies conformance to quality standards at all levels (raw, finished, ingredients, storage and transportation conditions)
  • Performs autonomous maintenance activities such as preventative maintenance, lubrication, center lining, 5s and defect identification, sources of contamination, etc.
  • Participate in periodical activities such assisting with the cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Maintains good manufacturing practices, housekeeping standards and safety precautions
  • Performs duties and responsibilities within the guidelines of plant's programs and initiatives (i.e.: SFTPM) , Pillar Teams, Yield Productivity teams and Kaizan events

The Perfect Blend: Experience
  • Minimum 3 years recent work experience in a manufacturing facility, food production preferred as a machine operator and or warehouse operator
  • Basic math & strong problem solving skills
  • Must be able to utilize manufacturing software - WinSPC, WMS, Zarpac, HMI's
  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter, needing little direction
  • Ability to listen and understand written and verbal information and ideas
  • Ability to strongly communicate written and verbal information and ideas
  • Ability to operate equipment and machines in an industrial environment
  • Ability to perform work within established guidelines and in a safe manner
  • Ability to work well independently and in teams and demonstrate great teamwork
  • Must have forklift certification and able to pass plant assessment at time of hire

Foundational Ingredients: Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must be located in City of Industry, CA surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
