Job Shift: AM Shift, 6:30am to 2:30pm. 5 days per week, Fridays and Saturdays off.

Summary/Objective: This is for the Day Shift Packing Position. As a Packing Associate, you will be responsible for the packing, completion, and organization of customer orders. It is important that a level of cleanliness, food safety, and EHS Compliance is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  1. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  2. Must be at least 18 years old.
  3. Must have self-reliable transportation
  4. Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  5. Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
  6. Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbal), safely and accurately operate bakery equipment and maintain GMP standards.
  7. Collect, gather, and organize equipment and utensils for the next production day.
  8. Preparing and assembling boxes or crates.
  9. Organize and distribute customer orders according to an invoice slip.
  10. Loading product into boxes using specific counts with accuracy.
  11. Stacking and applying labels to customer orders.
  12. Assist with Team members to complete necessary duties.
  13. Provide real time feedback on any issues encountered during the work shift.
  14. Perform misc. "lite sanitation" duties (Dusting, sweeping, etc.).
  15. Perform other duties as needed.

Competencies:

  1. Understand Customer orders and product labels.
  2. Time management.
  3. Written Communication Skills.
  4. Oral Communication Skills (English or Spanish).
  5. Organization.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a warehouse and manufacturing facility. The role routinely uses standard packing equipment such as box cutters, tape guns, and pallet wrappers. Movement within the packing area can at times become limited due to customer needs, and due to this immediate adaptation by the employees is required.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands consist of significant walking, lifting and moving of trays, removal of debris/dough from conveyor belts, lifting boxes of approximately 50 lbs. and be willing to work in a hot, humid environment. Any cleaning is expected to be done using typical procedures commonly found in the industry.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a non-exempt, full-time position. Work on holidays and weekends will be required. Days and hours of work are to be determined on a case-by-case basis, but should reflect closely to 6:30am to 2:30pm for the day shift. The job may have additional time required on the end of any given day, depending on the needs and timing of the production shift, you must be willing to stay and perform duties as assigned.
