Primary Job Functions

  • Accurately package product as determined by supervisor (includes labeling, packing, computer entries)
  • Stack or arrange packaged product in the proper manner on the correct skid
  • Maintain machinery in proper working order by filling proper supplies, make adjustments as needed, identify potential problems and get help as needed
  • Keep machine and work area clean
  • Maintain acceptable rate
  • Ensure product being packed meets specifications through inspection (correct computer set-up, right label on boxes/right number of rolls in box/put on the right skid)
  • Follow rules to ensure work is performed in a safe manner
  • Maintain knowledge of QMS and ISO Standards
  • Maintain a GUNG-HO attitude in support of the Berry Plastics vision statement, goals, and company culture
  • Follow and encourage GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Ensure that safety is a priority by following all safety procedures
  • Train and mentor new hires and temporary employees
