Job description

The Hanger supports all aspects of the production hanging process. This position is responsible for accurately hanging parts according to job cards or foreman instructions while maintaining quality standards, safety requirements, and housekeeping expectations. The employee has the responsibility and authority to control quality within their assigned tasks.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Hang parts in accordance with job cards, process cards, or foreman instructions.
Inspect parts for defects including rust, tape residue, or damage prior to processing.
Follow all Winona Quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in assigned work areas.
Properly wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Support production flow and quality objectives as directed by supervision.
Quality Responsibilities
Learn and understand customer inspection criteria.
Learn and understand customer packing requirements.
Acknowledge, follow, and properly use process cards as part of daily job functions.
Report quality concerns or nonconforming parts to supervision promptly.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the entire production shift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach repeatedly during the production shift.
  • Must occasionally be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
Manufacturing/production floor environment.
Exposure to moving equipment, noise, and industrial materials.
Required use of PPE in designated areas.
Salary Description
