Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in Torrance, California.
Overview
This role involves confirming and recording shipments, preparing items for shipping, managing inter-departmental transport of materials, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks. The position requires hands-on physical work and familiarity with shipping procedures.
Responsibilities

  • Confirm and record receipt of shipments
  • Prepare items for shipping and report damages or discrepancies
  • Manage inter-departmental transport of materials
  • Complete shipping and receiving reports
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks
  • Perform tasks that involve lifting over 30 lbs. and significant physical activity
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Preferred skills include packing experience, computer skills (email and Excel proficiency), and forklift experience
  • Familiar with shipping and receiving procedures
