Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $14.60/hr starting rate. $15/hr after a 150-day probationary period.  $1.00 increase every year until the top rate is achieved.

Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Role Summary  

We are seeking a full-time General Labor candidates to join our rapidly growing team. The General Laborer is responsible for the accurate set-up, picking, packing, and manifesting of materials according to the client's specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in PC applications and can learn new systems quickly.  

Key Responsibilities:

โ€ข Loads and unloads material, operates automatic machinery that seals and labels envelopes, stitches cartons, packs materials in plastic wrap, etc.

โ€ข Counts, lifts, and inserts books, posters, and other printed materials into cartons.

โ€ข Matches personalized address labels, forms, letters, and checks.

โ€ข Reads and records postal meter readings.

โ€ข Reviews and understands detailed production job instructions and materials parts lists.

โ€ข Reviews quality control sheets and records production statistics.

โ€ข Reviews postal and UPS rate charts.

โ€ข Fills in various documents โ€“ truck bills of lading, packing slips, and stock material requisitions.

โ€ข Review packing slips and/or labels to pull material from stock and pack orders.

โ€ข Reads postal scales โ€“ digital readout.

โ€ข Prepares assorted inventory documents.

โ€ข Researched inventory items via computer or computer reports.

โ€ข Cooperates with managers and fellow employees.

โ€ข Maintains and conveys a positive, professional attitude and proper etiquette to customers and co-workers.

โ€ข Support and maintain all corporate quality standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in the company quality system documentation. Ensure customer satisfaction by preventing the occurrences of nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.

Qualifications:

โ€ข High school diploma or general education (GED) preferred

โ€ข Ability to operate postal scales and meters.

โ€ข Ability to operate sealing tape dispensers, automatic carton staplers, automatic shrink-wrap packaging machines, mail-tying machines, automatic envelope sealers, and automatic tabletop staplers.

โ€ข Flexibility to be trained on computers.

โ€ข Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
