Job description

The Shipping Associate is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. This position works closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure orders are completed accurately and shipped on time while following company procedures and quality standards. The role supports daily shipping operations but does not have supervisory responsibilities. This description is adapted from the Lead Shipping Associate position by removing leadership duties while retaining the department's operational focus.

Pay: $18-19/hourly

Hours: Monday - Friday 9 am-5:30 pm

Work: in-person at our Mason, OH location

Role and Responsibilities
  • Pick, verify, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to company procedures.
  • Ensure shipments are accurate, complete, and properly labeled before leaving the facility.
  • Operate shipping software, ERP system, barcode scanners, and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Assist with loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and report discrepancies.
  • Organize products and materials to support efficient order fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by reporting shortages, damaged products, or inventory discrepancies.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards for all shipping activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (training/certification provided if required).
  • Communicate any shipping delays, damaged materials, or order issues to the Lead Shipping Associate or Supply Chain Supervisor.
  • Assist other warehouse and production departments as needed to meet customer deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, production, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts or willingness to become certified preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP/shipping software.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequently bend, squat, reach, twist, and climb ladders as needed.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment safely.
