Position Summary:
  • Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Specialist/Associate directs workflow, maintains inventory accuracy ensuring timely customer service and regulatory compliance. Responsible for the daily issuance and receiving of materials and chemicals to the manufacturing areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate material verification, data files, records, and reporting. to reduce department's deviation rate, inventory discrepancies or material loss.
  • Ensure required materials, components, chemicals and other supplies are delivered to manufacturing areas in a timely fashion to ensure continuity of production.
  • Perform receiving functions - receive material, inspect to specification and delivery. Receive internal WIP material from affiliates.
  • Verify packing slip match to received product and QA stamp of Certificate of Analysis is acceptable. Elevate COA discrepancies for resolution.
  • Order raw materials to meet business needs. Manage min/max Kanban inventory levels in coordination with buyer and internal suppliers. Maintain MRO items to meet business needs.
  • Perform various facility and equipment audits (area and fork truck checklist) to assure area is cGMP and OSHA compliant and housekeeping maintained. Submit appropriate requests for maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide training in operations, inventory systems, forklift training and testing, safety and compliance.
  • Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOPs and plant policies and rules.
  • Assist in area improvements, department changes and meetings.
  • Participates in departmental huddles and continuous improvement activities.
  • This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site.
  • Engage others, promote and participate in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to operate electric walker/overhead pallet truck, and mechanical stretch wrapper.
  • Good written and verbal communication, reading, math and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to understand and utilize ERP software applications.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, provide verbal and written instructions, and resolve issues in a constructive manner.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Works in warehouse, in both air and non-air-conditioned environments.
  • Recurring physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, crouching and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or less and push 150 lbs or less.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals or fumes. May need to move about in close proximity to equipment.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' related Materials Management experience or *3 years' non-materials management roles of increasing responsibilities (ex. Mfg. Specialist, Back-Up Specialist, Mfg. Material Handler, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
