Location: North Houston – 77032
Shift: Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with some OT
Pay: 17.00 – 19.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Packers to join our freight forwarding team. The Warehouse Packer is responsible for accurately preparing customer shipments by pulling freight, packaging items, labeling shipments, and ensuring all freight is weighed, measured, and documented correctly. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Pull freight from warehouse racks according to customer orders.
Inspect freight for damage and verify order accuracy before packing.
Select and assemble appropriate shipping boxes and packaging materials.
Pack shipments securely to prevent damage during domestic and international transit.
Create and assign Box IDs using the C2C system.
Accurately weigh and measure (dimensions) all shipments.
Enter shipment information into warehouse management systems.
Load packed freight onto pallets, carts, or trailers for shipment.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (certification preferred or required).
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
Follow company safety procedures and warehouse operating standards.
Assist with inventory movement and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse, packing, shipping, or freight forwarding experience preferred.
Forklift operating experience required; forklift certification is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds regularly.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse software, including C2C.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting throughout the shift.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy freight.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
Manual dexterity to handle packaging materials, scanners, and warehouse equipment.
