Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Assembler Packer - Swing Shift.
The hourly rate for this position is $17.94 per hour.

What you'll do:
Eaton's Electrical Sector (Crouse Hinds, B-Line and Oil & Gas business) is currently seeking a 1st Shift Assembler Packer to join our team from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. This position is based at our Amarillo, TX facility.
This position requires the ability to inspect, assemble, and pack castings following specific instructions and established procedures, as well as perform a variety of frequent-motion duties to load and unload castings from conveyors and sort them according to specification.

In this function, you will:
• Load iron castings, generally weighing between 2-12 pounds, onto the automated paint line.
• Remove castings from the paint line and place them in bins according to part number when unloading.
• Read and follow the operation sheet detailing steps to follow while packing.
• Perform visual quality checks for processing defects.
• Manually assemble components and related materials as required with the product.
• Use spray paint and screwdriver as required.
• Build boxes, and pack castings and components in appropriate boxes labeled and sealed as necessary.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner, and apply the 5-S program.
• Understand and perform designed TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) functions as required.
• Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties and clerical operations, such as entering scrap on the scrap data sheet as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience working in a team environment.
• Prior experience working in manufacturing.
• Understanding of how to use precision gauging instruments.
• Proven ability to run a machine with multiple settings or specifications.
Skills:
Position Criteria:
• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours and lift/carry up to 20 pounds.
• Follow all associated safety regulations.
• Understand and utilize lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to use a variety of hand, pneumatic, semi-automatic, and power tools.
• Ability to use and be around spray paint.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow moderately technical standards, instructions, and maintenance procedures.
• Involves some bending, twisting motion, walking up stairs, reaching (lateral and bilateral), and frequent hand motion.
• Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime, including the ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts.
• Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout the plant.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions, including eSafety and MESH Prism.
