The Packager plays a key role in preparing finished products for shipment and storage by performing packaging, labeling, and basic assembly tasks in a structured, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires careful attention to detail, the ability to follow written work orders and detailed instructions, and a strong commitment to safety and cleanliness on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Package finished products accurately and securely in preparation for shipment and storage.
• Read and comprehend detailed instructions and work orders to ensure correct packaging, labeling, and handling of products.
• Perform basic assembly and labeling tasks as part of the packaging process.
• Lift and move boxes, materials, and pallets weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Move around the production area and stand for extended periods to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and organized condition.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
• Stay actively engaged by seeking the next task when a project is completed and avoiding idle time.
• Work effectively in a team environment while also being able to complete tasks independently.
• Perform other packaging and production-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and safely handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to comprehend detailed instructions and accurately read work orders.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure correct packaging, labeling, and assembly.
• Good manual dexterity for handling products, packaging materials, and labels.
• Ability to move around the facility and stand for an entire shift when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, orderly work area and following safety regulations.
• Reliability and willingness to work additional hours when required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in packaging, assembly, or production roles.
• Experience with labeling processes and packaging equipment.
• Ability to stay focused and productive in a fast-paced, structured environment.
• Comfort working both collaboratively with a team and independently.
• Strong work ethic with a proactive approach to asking for new tasks when one project is completed.
