What you will do

As a Field Project Manager, for our Fire division, you will lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities. Responsible for setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, and facilitation. Manages schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction. Presents to management and/or customers on project updates, project cycle, and expected results. Ensures projects are closed on time and in scope.

How you will do it

  • Oversees and communicates project progression from inception to completion including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation.

  • Develops a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conducts Work in Progress meetings.

  • Understands and follows all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications.

  • Ensures AHJ requirements and departmental/SOX procedures are followed.

  • Coordinates change orders and works toward overall margin improvement on every job.

What we look for

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 5 years' of project management or installation experience in construction or electrical field.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project). Ability to create Excel spreadsheets, reference data in other spreadsheets, and create macros is required.

  • Available for frequent local travel.

Preferred

  • Certificate or diploma in a related field (Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic;Security). Certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.

  • Project Management Professional certification will be obtained within two years of employment in the position.

  • NICET Level II may be obtained within one year of employment.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $72,000-$100,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, andabilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
