Job Title: Packaging Associate (1st Shift)

Location: 3568 Tree Court Industr. Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63122  (100% onsite)

**This location is considered the Kirkwood area and is West of downtown St. Louis. HM does not want candidates who will have to drive more than 25-30 minutes to get to work. MUST have reliable transportation.**

WORK HOURS: Day Shift 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Thursday (10 hours shift) One 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Two paid 15-minute breaks
 

Description

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual assembly and packaging tasks on a team-oriented production line including packaging components, placing bottles on a conveyor, labeling cases and cartons, and packing & stacking finished goods.
  • Under the direction of the production manager, the incumbent will perform tasks on the product lines assuring products are labeled, coded, and packaged correctly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Check that components and codes comply with the packaging order.
  • Place bottles on conveyor lines.
  • Label cases and bags.
  • Pack and stack finished goods.
  • Control product quality by communicating item damage or off-spec condition that exists to production supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe working area by keeping it organized and clean throughout the workday including end of shift cleaning.
  • Wear all required PPE (personal protective equipment).
  • Be dependable. Report on time to your position every day giving as much notice as possible of absences.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Other duties as directed by the Production Manager and/or supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lifting Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing Stand 8-9 Hours Per Day.
  • Bending Frequent Bending.
  • Climbing Minimal Climbing.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Temperature - Climate controlled and Non climate controlled. Working temperature varies between areas.
  • Air Quality Minimal Dust.
  • Lighting Good lighting.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Safety Toe Work Boots or Shoes.
  • Safety Glasses.
  • Gloves.
  • Hearing protection may be required in designated areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Physically able to work on feet and lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and understand production documents, SDS, and safety information required.
  • 0 1 years (light assembly or manufacturing experience is helpful).
