Manager of Financial Reporting Position Description

About the Role

Are you a proven accounting leader with deep SEC reporting experience and a passion for driving financial excellence? We are seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to lead monthly financial consolidation, oversee SEC filings, and manage critical external audit relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Lead all aspects of monthly consolidation and reporting process within OneStream, ensuring high reliability, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • SEC Compliance: Manage end-to-end preparation and coordination of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Form SD, and XBRL tagging requirements.
  • Audit Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors to ensure seamless quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Controls & SOX Compliance: Maintain and strengthen the financial reporting control environment, documenting and monitoring ICFR and SOX compliance.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor, and foster career development for accounting and finance professionals in a collaborative environment.
  • Strategic & Ad Hoc Projects: Support executive management with purchase accounting for acquisitions, forecasting processes, financial analysis, and adoption of new accounting standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an active CPA license required.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with a publicly traded company.
    • Strongly Preferred: Significant Big Four or top-tier public accounting experience at the Manager or Senior Manager level serving public clients.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC filings, and debt/equity capital market transactions.
    • Deep understanding of ICFR, SOX requirements, and external audit procedures.
    • Proven success managing consolidations for large, complex organizational structures.
  • Systems: Advanced MS Excel skills and strong financial systems aptitude (experience with OneStream and ToppanMerrill Bridge is a major plus).
  • Leadership Competencies: Exceptional analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with a track record of guiding teams through dynamic, complex priorities.
