Job Summary

The Operations Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistical aspects of operations within the company. This includes managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services throughout the supply chain. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistics activities:
    • Plan, organize, and manage the logistics operations to ensure the timely and efficientย movement of goods.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensureย timely delivery of goods.
    • Monitor and track shipments to ensure they are delivered on time and in complianceย with regulations.
Transportation and distribution:
    • Coordinate transportation activities, including route planning, carrier selection, andย shipment scheduling.
    • Ensure the proper packaging, labeling, and documentation of goods forย transportation.
    • Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Process improvement:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhanceย operational efficiency.
    • Streamline logistics processes to minimize lead times and improve overall customerย satisfaction.
Compliance and risk management:
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governingย logistics operations.
    • Identify and mitigate operational risks to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and developments to ensure compliance andย operational excellence.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • GDP experience an asset.
  • Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably in a coordinator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficient in using logistics software, such as inventory management systems andย transportation management systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
