At Clorox, we believe people do their best work when they can make a meaningful impact. As a Senior Packaging Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering packaging system capabilities that enable innovation, efficiency, and growth across our manufacturing network.
In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to lead capital projects-from concept through start-up-while driving safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This position requires 100% on site with minimal travel required.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design, installation, commissioning, and start-up of packaging systems for new products, upgrades, and capacity improvements.

  • Manage medium-scale capital projects, including scope definition, schedule, budget, and resource planning.

  • Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Operations.

  • Apply Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Early Management principles to optimize performance and reliability.

  • Identify and deliver cost savings, productivity improvements, and sustainability initiatives.

  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, regulatory, and environmental standards.

  • Evaluate and manage external vendors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.

  • Analyze performance data and solve complex technical problems using a structured, data driven approach.

  • Coach and support Operations and Maintenance teams to build technical capability and drive long-term results.

What we look for:

Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or 10+ years of packaging/project experience

5+ years of engineering experience, including capital project execution in manufacturing environments.

Experience managing project scope, timelines, and budgets.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to drive results and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or manufacturing environments.

Background in Operations and/or maintenance/reliability engineering roles.

Experience with 2D and 3D modeling software (ACAD, Solidworks, etc.).

Knowledge of CI / Lean / TPM methodologies.

Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

-Zone A: $90,900 - $170,100

-Zone B: $83,400 - $155,900
