What You Will Do:
Join our team as a Business Development Manager and play a key role in building relationships, solving customer challenges, and identifying new opportunities for growth. In this position, you'll work closely with customers and internal teams to develop solutions, expand business opportunities, and help drive the continued success of Hayes Performance Systems.
How You Will Do It:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and on-site visits
  • Partner with customers to understand their needs and identify solutions that support their goals
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the sales process, from initial discussions through project launch
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and targeted markets
  • Grow market share by developing new customer relationships and expanding existing partnerships
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to support strategic growth initiatives
  • Work closely with engineering, program management, and internal teams to develop proposals and support new business opportunities
  • Coordinate internal resources to provide quotations, technical support, and project updates
  • Collaborate with customer engineering and technical teams to support product specifications and performance requirements
What We Look For:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing sales experience
  • Strong relationship-building and customer management skills
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and drive account growth
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent technical experience considered
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–30%
  • Bonus:
    • Familiarity with braking systems, mobile equipment, chassis components, or other engineered products
    • Experience supporting powersports, agriculture, construction, industrial, or automotive markets
