We're seeking a dedicated Design Associate to join our team in Kentwood, Michigan. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment, showcase your welding expertise, and grow within a supportive company that values your skills and contributions. Whether you're an experienced professional or eager to advance your craft, this position is your gateway to a rewarding career in Design.
Required Skills:
  • Adhere to the Drawing Request and Production SOP, training will be provided.
  • Design Conceptual development, structural drawings, and production drawings
  • Preflight customer-supplied artwork to conform it meets production standard.
  • Support the Drawing Room team with data entry and project uploads the calendars.
  • Working knowledge of SAI FLEXI; training will be provided
  • Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Creative
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Relevant experience in design
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to learn the skills needed
  • Ability to work 1st shift hours (7:00am-4:00pm) with overtime as needed
  • This position is initially temporary with potential for full-time hire
