Our Pennington Seed facility in Lebanon, OR is hiring a Packaging-Production Associate in our Grass Seed facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Keep the productivity of the line assigned at or above the level established as “acceptable” for the products being manufactured.  
  • Awareness of the requirements of the product being produced – Weight, bags per pallet or box, type of pallet or box for the current run and communicate this info with the other line workers.
  • Be the quality control person for what is being packaged on this line.
  • Train other coworkers that are new to your line or area when asked.
  • Make sure the line or areas equipment are working properly and report any mechanical problems to the shop.
  • Make sure the line or area is clean and organized at the end of your shift.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the shift lead immediately.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Must be able to lift at least 55 pounds.
  • The ability to work closely with other workers on the line or area. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to be able to learn new things
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary due to outside temperatures
  • Work environment may be dusty
