JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Commercial Development Analyst plays a key role in supporting commercial improvement initiatives across DHL eCommerce. Reporting to the Sr. Manager Commercial Development, this position helps strengthen commercial capabilities, improve end-to-end processes, and support strategic initiatives that enable accelerated business growth.

This role combines business analysis, project management support, process improvement, executive communications, and strategic storytelling. The Sr. Commercial Development Analyst will partner closely with stakeholders across Sales, Pricing, Marketing, Customer Service, Product, Finance, and IT to evaluate commercial processes, analyze performance data, support execution of key initiatives, and communicate progress and recommendations to commercial leadership.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities, excellent presentation development skills, and the ability to transform complex information into concise, executive-ready communications that drive alignment and decision making.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Commercial Analysis & Process Improvement
  • Analyze and document existing commercial processes and procedures, business requirements, tools, data flows, workflows, and organizational structures to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of commercial systems and platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, customer portal, reporting and analytics tools etc.) to identify optimization opportunities and support improved business outcomes.
  • Support development of business cases, recommendations, and implementation plans that improve commercial effectiveness and customer experience.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Collect, organize, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple stakeholders, systems, reports and initiatives to identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and performance metrics supporting commercial leadership and strategic initiatives.
  • Track and analyze key commercial KPIs and metrics around commercial productivity and customer experience.
  • Support recurring business reviews, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions through reporting and analysis.

Program & Project Management Support

  • Support planning, coordination, execution and timely delivery of Commercial Development initiatives across Commercial functions
  • Develop project plans, workback schedules, milestone tracking, status reports, risk logs, and action item trackers.
  • Monitor initiative progress, identify bottlenecks and dependencies, escalate risks when necessary, and recommend corrective actions.

Executive Communications & Strategic Storytelling

  • Develop executive-level presentations, leadership updates, business reviews, strategic planning materials, and communication packages for Commercial Leadership Team meetings and senior leadership discussions.
  • Partner with Commercial leaders to transform complex analyses, project updates, operational information, and strategic initiatives into clear, concise, and compelling executive narratives.
  • Create high-quality visual presentations that effectively communicate objectives, progress, accomplishments, business impact, risks, decisions, and next steps.
  • Serve as a central coordinator for Commercial Development communications, providing visibility into initiative progress, milestones, business impacts, and leadership priorities.
  • Establish standardized communication templates, reporting formats, and presentation materials to improve consistency across commercial initiatives.
  • Support preparation of materials for annual planning, strategic reviews, budget discussions, operating reviews, and executive decision-making forums.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business situations and identify practical solutions.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, actionable insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • Advanced presentation development, business writing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, business process improvement, and/or commercial transformation initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • High attention to detail, strong business acumen, and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, commercial operations, sales operations, product management, management consulting, PMO, strategy, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing executive presentations and communication materials for senior leadership audiences.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives, process improvement programs, or business transformation efforts preferred.
  • Experience in eCommerce, parcel logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related industries preferred.
  • Experience working within DHL eCommerce or the broader DHL network is a plus but not required.
