We have an immediate opening for a Lead Packer at our Brampton Plant.

What You'll do
  • Ensure that all product is packaged according to the specific packaging instructions
  • Inspect material for any potential defects and report any quality concerns to the packaging team leader
  • Ensure material is packed in order of priority according to the ship dates indicated on the work order
  • Ensure hardness is checked and documented per order
  • Confirm that weights and piece counts of each order is correct
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
  • Print tickets/labels for bundles using Epics
  • Comply with all quality related policies, procedures, and system requirements
  • Use hand tools such as staple guns or nail guns for the purpose of making skids
  • Assist in providing training and support to new workers
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
  • Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a machine operator; heavy manufacturing, extrusion, or similar environment experience an asset
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a fast pace
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills
  • Team player capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment
