Job description

Job Overview

This temporary role is for Summer Warehouse Associates within the Riverside, NJ distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old book publishing company.

This role is intended for High School or College students needing a summer job. 

What you will be doing on a daily basis:

  • Using RF device to pick customer orders for Split Case replenishment via supervisor’s direction.
  • Use of pallet jack
  • Complete work assignments accurately and timely
  • Perform moves, cycle counts, pack out and re-box excess stock weekly.
  • Able to work independently as well as with other coworkers when needed in specific areas.
  • Take direction from different leads when working in other areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Some requirements:

  • Ability to handle 50+ pounds and work at heights of up to 25+ feet.
  • You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Some analytical experience is preferable.
  • You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day
  • Minimum age is 18+ years old.
  • Pay: $16.00/hr
  • Summer Help only – not to exceed 40hrs in a week.
  • Support various depts as needed

Shift and Schedule:

  • We are currently looking for 1st shift (5:00 AM – 1:00 PM) and 2nd shift (1:00 PM - 9:00 PM) Full-time or Part-Time
