Job description

Purpose:
The Field Install Team Supervisor (FITS) serves as a leader in the Floor & Decor retail environment, directing and supervising the daily operations of Field Install Specialists (FIS). The main objective of this role is to enhance the overall customer experience, increase sales, and optimize inventory management through effective project oversight and team coordination. In this position, the supervisor will guide the Field Installation teams (FIT) in executing visual merchandising initiatives that align with corporate directives and regional leadership goals. This includes establishing strong collaborative relationships with store personnel to ensure consistency in merchandising standards and drive performance excellence across a multi-store market. Additionally, the FITS will prioritize tasks aligned with the company's business objectives, facilitating daily travel to various store locations as needed. By fostering a high-performing team environment and promoting best practices, the supervisor will contribute significantly to the organization's success and growth in a competitive retail landscape.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is preferred, or a combination of education and experience that adequately prepares an individual to effectively perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Experience in retail environments and merchandising departments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and building effective teams
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent customer service skills, work well under pressure, and are detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and operate effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Train and develop FISs within the team, providing coaching to foster their growth.
  • Supervise and follow up on assigned activities of the FISs in his/her area and ensure execution of projects and general service activities in relation to FIT standards.
  • Partner with store and regional teams to execute merchandising strategies.
  • Assist with merchandising bays, ensure compliance with planograms, replace labels, pack out, and build displays.
  • Responsible for facilitating cross-project communication on items such as sets, fixtures, merchandise layout, and bay elevations.
  • Ensure compliance with the planogram and verify that merchandise is displayed attractively.
  • Engage with the team during pack-out, flat stacking, and display assembly.
  • Execute timelines to complete projects per schedule and communicate any issues to the Divisional Execution Manager
  • Ensure that POP and signage are ordered and properly set according to the planogram.
  • Monitor and review the FIT team's timekeeping, expenses, and training data.
  • Communicate store and FIT objectives to FISs using the appropriate programs and tools.
  • Contribute to thoughtful and effective performance management concerning FISs.
  • Provide input to the DEM regarding the performance appraisals of FISs and offer recommendations for the promotion of associates within the designated area.
  • Participate in the hiring interview process for new FISs and partner/collaborate with DEM on recommendations.

Working Conditions (travel, environment):
  • Frequent car travel is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The work environment is typically moderately noisy.

Physical/Sensory Requirements
• Sedentary Work - Ability to exert 10 - 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may also include walking or standing for brief periods.
