LEADPERSON - PACK / PAINTLINE - 1st SHIFT 5:30 am - 4:00 pm

Full time position for a Leadperson - Pack / Paintline that is responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe removal of painted parts from the paint line, ensuring that parts are packed, labeled, and ready for shipment or storage. As a lead, this position involves overseeing a team of packers, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production goals. The Pack Lead plays a critical role in the final stages of production, ensuring that finished parts meet customer specifications and are prepared for the next steps in the distribution process.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities include the coordination and participation in full operation of cell to meet production schedule and consistent with operational strategy. Lead person must perform tasks within cell for a majority of the workday as a "hands-on:" leader. Must review daily orders and prioritize tasks taking into account customer due dates, job specifications, order balancing and resources available. Trains team members on cell responsibilities, promoting flexibility for teammates. Must set a good example for coworkers and be a person who exhibits a positive attitude toward company goals and initiatives. Must utilize various tools and equipment including manual and power tools. Must work as part of a team and assist in other areas of the company as needed.

  • Remove Parts from Paint Line: Carefully remove painted parts from the paint line, ensuring no damage to the parts during the process.
  • Inspect Quality: Perform visual inspections of parts as they come off the paint line to ensure that they meet quality standards, including checking for paint defects, discoloration, or imperfections. Ensure that parts meet customer specifications and are free from any flaws.
  • Packaging and Labeling: Accurately pack finished parts according to customer specifications, using appropriate packing materials (e.g., boxes, bubble wrap, etc.). Label packages clearly and correctly to ensure proper identification and shipping.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of parts removed from the paint line, and log through computer system... be accurate with quantities and part numbers. Report any discrepancies or issues with parts to the supervisor immediately.
