Job description

Step into a vital role supporting cardiovascular care as a Cath Lab Technologist. In this position, you'll assist physicians during a wide range of cardiac catheterization procedures, including pacemaker placements, angioplasty, atherectomy, and emergent interventions, ensuring patient safety and technical accuracy every step of the way.
Schedule:

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM-6:30 PM
  • 40 hours per week, 4x10s
  • Weekend shifts as needed
  • Holiday coverage: One required shift per summer and winter
  • On-call: 7-10 shifts required; no float
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Impella and balloon pumps
  • Permanent pacemaker placement experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Mac Lab systems and EPIC preferred
  • Valid BLS and Radiology certifications required
  • Comfortable with green scrub attire
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare sterile trays and organize case-specific equipment
  • Ready patients prior to procedures, including EKG lead placement, skin prep, and draping
  • Support pressure monitoring by calibrating and testing transducers
  • Load and operate power injectors safely
  • Operate digital cine imaging technologies, ensuring proper documentation and storage of patient images and hemodynamic data
  • Download acquisitions to the hospital mainframe for review
  • Assist in emergency patient care and removal of procedural sheaths in post-procedural settings
  • Participate in the insertion of vascular closure devices and manage access site stability
  • Maintain inventory for non-store room supplies and assist with regular equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Deliver age- and developmentally-appropriate care, adapting communication for each patient or caregiver
