Aggregate Delivery Professional – Port Orchard

Location: Port Orchard, WA

Going the extra miles since 1943 Miles Sand & Gravel Company has been a trusted name in the industry for over 80 years, and we are seeking safety-focused and customer-oriented Aggregate Delivery Professionals to join our team in Western Washington. What you'll do: • Safely and efficiently operate and maintain an Aggregate Delivery truck delivering product to residential, commercial and industrial job sites. • Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation. • Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental and DOT regulations. • Ensure product quality and order accuracy. • Maintain positive customer relationships by providing professional and courteous service. • Keep your truck clean and free of buildup, for optimal performance and professional appearance. • Assist with precast block production, yard maintenance, and general labor duties as needed.

What we're looking for: • 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred (willing to train for concrete). • Valid Class A CDL • Current DOT medical card, and an insurable driving record. • Licensed and proficient in the operation of manual transmission commercial vehicles. • Experience in Aggregate delivery trucks or other construction-related trucking is a plus. • Ability to effectively communicate with dispatch, co-workers and customers. • Strong understanding of safe driving practices and DOT regulations. • Ability to perform physical tasks, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in all weather conditions. • Flexibility to work varying start times, overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed. • Familiarity with the local delivery routes and job sites a plus.
