Job description

Full time 1.0 FTE, 8 hour day shift

Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician needed for microbiology.  

Duties include plating of cultures, Gram stains of primary samples, performance of PCR, EIA, EIA-like testing and workup of cultures. Workup of cultures include plate reading, aerobic, anaerobic and yeast organism ID, including biochemical testing; and aerobic susceptibility testing for all bodily samples.  Previous microbiology experience is not necessary as successful candidate will be thoroughly trained on site.  Once trained, candidate will be required to work independently on a rotating basis on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS): Scientist: Bachelor's in Medical Technology (or equivalent), national CLS certification and MT licensure within 6 months

Clinical Lab Technician/MLT: Associate's in Medical Technology (or equivalent), national MLT certification and MT CLT licensure upon hire
