Job description

Motive Workforce is partnering with a leading Southern California manufacturer supporting advanced aerospace, defense, space, and high-reliability electronic systems to hire a PCB Sr. Screening / Soldermask Operator.

This company specializes in high-performance flexible printed circuit boards used in mission-critical applications for some of the most demanding engineering environments in the industry. Their work supports next-generation technologies across aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing programs.

Position Overview
The Sr. Screening / Soldermask Operator serves as a technical lead within the PCB Screening department. This role supports production operations across Soldermask, Legend, and ID processes while helping maintain quality, efficiency, and throughput goals.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on PCB manufacturing experience, understands screening and soldermask operations in depth, and can help mentor team members in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
* Execute daily production activities to meet quality and output targets
* Operate and maintain screening and soldermask manufacturing equipment
* Follow operational procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements
* Support training and mentorship of team members on department processes and expectations

Production & Process Support
* Work closely with supervisors and production leadership to address manufacturing challenges
* Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements and production efficiency
* Support implementation of workflow and quality improvements

Quality Assurance
* Perform inspections to verify product quality and compliance with specifications
* Maintain high standards for workmanship and process consistency
* Support adherence to safety and environmental regulations throughout production activities

Team Support
* Assist leadership in identifying root causes for production or performance issues
* Provide hands-on coaching and technical guidance to operators
* Participate in skills evaluations and candidate assessments when needed

Equipment & Workspace Maintenance
* Inspect equipment regularly for defects or maintenance concerns
* Coordinate repair needs with maintenance teams as needed
* Support workstation and production floor organization to minimize downtime and disruptions

Qualifications
* 2-3 years of hands-on experience in PCB Soldermask, Legend, or Screening processes
* Experience working in a PCB manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety procedures
* Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Basic computer skills, manufacturing software experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Additional manufacturing or technical training preferred
* Experience with ProCIM is a plus
