Oxbow Energy Solutions LLC is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join the team in Texas City, Texas. The position will be responsible for the repairs, modifications, and installations to the needs of our terminal. Some of the equipment a Maintenance Mechanic Class 1 will be working on will be Dozers, Front End Loaders, Conveyor Systems, Pumps, etc.
Job Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy construction equipment, such as Dozers, Front End Loaders, Excavators, Tractors, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of conveyor systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of fluid pumps.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of Terminal equipment, such as a Ship Loader, Gangway, Hoppers, etc.
- Inspect, Troubleshoot, and Complete Work Order Repairs with very little Supervisory oversite.
- Complete Preventative Maintenance (PM's) Work Orders with very little Supervisory oversite.
- Perform duties in a safe manner in conjunction with the rules and regulations set forth by Oxbow Energy Solutions, Texas City Terminal.
- Installation of `mechanical equipment and systems.
- Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must possess or be eligible for a TWIC card
- Must have a well-versed background in troubleshooting mechanical systems and some knowledge of other types of systems (hydraulic, electric, pneumatic, etc).
- Ability to work with engineered drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations.
- Detail oriented, with a strong sense of time management.

RequirementsPosition Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification in Heavy Equipment mechanics, Industrial Welding or both preferred.
- Two or more years of experience working in mechanical maintenance industry, welding, or both preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Typically on the move throughout shift, walking, climbing, crouching, kneeling, etc.
- As needed, lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions heavy objects. Mechanical lifting assistance may be used for some of the heavy objects.
