What is an Overwatch job?

An Overwatch job typically refers to a role where an individual provides supervision, monitoring, or security oversight in various fields, such as military operations, esports, or corporate settings. In military or tactical contexts, it involves observing and providing support to ensure safety and effectiveness. In gaming or esports, an Overwatch role can relate to moderation, coaching, or administration. The exact responsibilities depend on the specific industry and context in which the term is used.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Overwatch position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Overwatch (commonly a surveillance or site security professional), you need keen observational skills, attention to detail, and often a background in security or law enforcement. Familiarity with surveillance technologies such as CCTV systems, access control panels, and incident reporting software is typically required. Strong situational awareness, clear communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are crucial soft skills. These attributes enable effective threat detection, rapid response, and ensure the safety and security of people and property.

What types of workplaces typically employ Overwatch professionals, and how might the work environment differ between them?

Overwatch professionals are commonly employed in environments such as corporate campuses, event venues, critical infrastructure sites, and construction zones. The work environment can vary significantly—some positions require stationary monitoring from a control room, while others involve active patrols across large facilities or outdoor sites. Depending on the employer, Overwatch roles can be part of a larger security team or operate independently, often collaborating with site managers, law enforcement, or emergency services. Understanding the specific workplace helps candidates prepare for the pace, physical demands, and team dynamics unique to each setting.

Grow With Overwatch Electric

Locally Owned | Veteran-Owned | Built on POWER

Overwatch Electric is a locally owned and operated, veteran-owned electrical company. We are

building something long-term — not just a crew, but a team of professionals who take pride in their

craft, care about customers, and support one another.

Our core focus is residential service and install work, with select small commercial projects. This role

is for electricians who want to grow with a small company and move into higher levels of responsibility,

leadership, and income as the company expands.

Our Core Values — POWER

  • P — Pride in Craftsmanship

Clean installs, safe practices, and code-compliant work are non-negotiable. We do it right the first time.

  • O — Ownership (Hard Work Gets Rewarded)

We take ownership of our work and our results. Those who work efficiently, take responsibility, and uphold standards earn more here.

  • W — Work with Integrity (No Shortcuts)

We follow code, tell the truth, and never cut corners — even when no one is watching.

  • E — Exceed Customer Expectations

We treat every home with respect and communicate clearly and professionally on every job.

  • R — Reliability

We show up on time, prepared, and ready to execute. Our customers and teammates depend on us.

Compensation & Growth Path

$70,000 – $120,000 annual earning potential

  • Competitive hourly base pay
  • Performance-based production bonuses Clear expectations and simple math — more quality work completed means more pay
  • No confusing commission structures

This is a role where performance is noticed, rewarded, and developed.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform residential service, install, and select small commercial electrical work
  • Deliver safe, clean, code-compliant work
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, and leadership Support efficient job flow and team success
  • Grow into lead technician, crew lead, or leadership roles over time

Who This Role Is For

  • Journeyman electrician or equivalent residential experience
  • Experience with residential service and installs (small commercial a plus)
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and professionalism
  • Coachable mindset and desire to grow with a small, expanding company

If you want to punch a clock, this isn’t the place. If you want to build a career and grow into leadership as the company grows, we want to talk.

Overwatch Electric is growing — and we’re doing it the right way.

We reward hard work, uphold standards, and invest in our people. Apply now and grow with Overwatch Electric
