Job description

Job Title: Building Commissioning Agent
Company: Overwatch Construction Management
We are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Building Commissioning Agent to join Overwatch Construction Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of new and existing buildings to ensure operational efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with design specifications. This role requires close collaboration with design teams, contractors, and owners to verify that all building systems perform according to the project requirements and industry standards.
Salary Range: $135,000-$145,000
Project Start Date: July 1, 2026
Project Duration: 24 months
Full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee installation functional testing and verification of building systems to ensure they meet design intent and performance criteria.
  • Review design documents and specifications to anticipate potential issues and contribute to quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to schedule and conduct commissioning activities.
  • Document commissioning results, prepare detailed reports, and track resolution of any deficiencies.
  • Provide training and support to building operators on system functionality and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, codes, and sustainability requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in building commissioning or related field.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE Guideline 0, 1.1, and 202.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work independently.
  • CXA Certification or equivalent certification required
