Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The LeadSenior Engineer is responsible for applying software engineering techniques and industry best practices to solve clear business problems These techniques include but are not limited to analysis design documenting testing and maintaining moderately complex applications andor systems This role will collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to design test and maintain flexible fulfillment ecommerce applications and systems specifically related to IBM Sterling Order Management
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in formal design sessions with both onsite and offshore teams
Development activities related to IBM Sterling Commerce Order Management configuration and customization
Participate in the oncall rotation for production support
Ability to lead and participate in the development configuration and performance tuning of systems
Adopt best practices and coding standards and perform code reviews
Provide detailed weekly task reports to reporting manager
Development activities related to Spring boot and other java related technologies good to have
Quality on time delivery of committed deliverables
Flexible in working under changing and uncertain work schedules
Other responsibilities as assigned
Must have
Deep understanding of Sterling OMS functions Sourcing Scheduling Inventory Payments SDF Custom APIs SOM
Cloud knowledge especially sterling containerization OMOC experience is also acceptable
Sterling build and deployment process
Hands on coding experience using Java
QUALIFICATIONS
BS or MS in Computer Science Information Systems IT or related field
7 years Software Development experience with at least 5 years of recent development in Sterling commerce version 10
Hands on experience with public cloud and containerized version of sterling OMS
Clear understanding of sterling build and deployment process
Technology experience with B2C web commerce software and order fulfillment distribution center systems a plus
Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus
Performance tuning experience is a plus
Proven track record of delivery in applications with large volume high availability enterprise applications
