Job description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion
  • Research and maintain knowledge of building application methods and materials
  • Provide technical guidance to the construction team:
    • Review drawings and specifications
    • Ensure that designs comply with client expectations
  • Facilitate collaboration between disciplines to ensure seamless integration of construction elements
  • Manage subcontractor selection
  • Manage subcontracts, change orders, and payments
  • Prepare and review construction proposals
  • Create and maintain construction budgets and schedules
  • Act as a main point of contact for client counterpart on the project
    • Assist in developing and reviewing contract documents
    • Participate in project meetings
    • Understand client needs and requirements
    • Provide expert advice and solutions
  • Perform regular site inspections and on-site coordination with superintendent with site progress
  • Provide guidance to subcontractors by helping them interpret design specifications, related to project proposals
  • Responsible for Request for Information (RFI) process
  • Responsible for Change Order process
  • Manage regular update meetings with client 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 5-10 years of relevant experience with managing commercial projects, with a focus on ground up construction
  • Hands on experience with Procore
  • Proficiency with applications like Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be a team player with strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel within the continental US, including overnight trips
