Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate in Marshalltown, IA to support overnight warehouse operations on a temporary basis through September. This role is responsible for operating material handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes in a fast-paced environment.

Forklift Operator Responsibilities
  • Operate a stand-up forklift to move, load, and unload materials (following training and certification)
  • Use handheld scanners to pick, track, and process orders for shipment
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles accurately and efficiently
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
  • Package and prepare items for safe transport
  • Inspect materials for damage and identify non-conforming products
  • Stock and rotate materials in designated storage locations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements for Forklift Operator

- 6+ months of recent forklift experience

- Ability to read and write in English

- Experience with handheld scanners or warehouse systems preferred

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

- Ability to lift approximately 10 lbs repetitively

- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per shift

- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements

- Ability to bend, twist, pull, and crouch throughout the shift

- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
