AKHIRE is currently recruiting for the following position:
Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate (Overnight)
Location - Anchorage, AK
Full-time
Shift: SUN-THURS 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Pay $20 per hour
Summary: Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate (Overnight)
Warehouse Associate position spends most of the day using a forklift to offload product, and organize within the warehouse to be loading on the outgoing trucks.
Key Responsibilities: Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate (Overnight)
  • Load and unload vehicles such as trucks, vans, flat beds trucks, box trucks or tractor-trailers.
  • Mark incoming freight appropriately.
  • Move freight around yard and warehouse using a forklift or other moving equipment.
  • Complete freight paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Ensure that freight is loaded, unloaded, palatalized and marked appropriately.
  • Assist customers as necessary.
  • Consistently follow all safety procedures and attend safety meetings.

Requirements
Certificates/Licenses:
  • Forklift Certification preferred but not required
Physical and Mental Demands:
  • Must be able to push or pull heavy loads (up to 200 pounds)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to operate all equipment in a warehouse which may include grasping, climbing, bending, handling, reaching, hand dexterity, feeling/touching and repetitive motions of the hands and feet
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
