Job description

Position Summary

The Overnight Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing fresh produce orders for delivery. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and accuracy to maintain product quality and meet customer expectations. The Overnight Warehouse Associate supports warehouse operations during overnight shifts and ensures smooth processing of inbound and outbound shipments.

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Load and unload incoming and outbound shipments safely and accurately
  • Verify quantities and inspect produce for quality and freshness
  • Pick produce items according to customer orders and pack them securely for delivery
  • Assist with inventory management, stock rotation (FIFO), and maintaining organized storage areas
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following food safety and OSHA guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth overnight operations
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Record shipment data for reporting, accounting, and inventory purposes
  • Address discrepancies, damages, and nonconformance issues with supervisors or external contacts
  • Requisition and maintain stock of shipping materials and supplies
  • Pack, seal, and label products for shipping using appropriate tools and procedures
  • Work independently and efficiently while adhering to company procedures and safety standards

Required Qualifications and Skills
