Requirements and Description
The Operations Travel Desk Agent is responsible for providing 24/7 support and managing hotel and ground transportation bookings for airline crew members. The agent receives booking requirements through approved methods and coordinates with vendors following standard operating procedures. They handle phone calls from crew members, pilots, and other personnel to address last-minute issues during layovers. The agents play an important role in ensuring crew members have safe, clean, and comfortable hotels and transportation across the globe.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Booking accommodations and transportation for all ad hoc, charter, irregular operations (IROPs) and special operations crew needs.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with In-Flight Service (IFS) & Flight Operations (FOPs) stakeholders as directed by leadership to support all changes, ensuring approved hotel inventory availability, and securing stakeholder approval for non-contract hotel assignments.
  • Efficiently using technology including Concur Travel GDS and our internal Hotel & Transportation System (HTS) to process transactions, accurately record reservation information, and source suitable hotels in compliance with company SOPs.
  • Utilizing the company's virtual credit card payment solution process related to manifest variance and ad-hoc hotel and transportation procurement.
  • Ensuring timely communication across OCC verticals, especially with the Crew Resource, Charter, and IFS & FOPs Duty Desks.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer service by promptly and efficiently responding to all crew communication channels.
  • Providing support in the planning and implementing of operational strategies and seeking continual operational improvements and efficiencies.

Schedule:
10 hours shifts 4 days a week.
  • 3 am to 1 pm
  • 7 am to 5 pm
  • 11 am to 9 pm
  • 5 pm to 3 am
  • 9 pm to 7 am

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a call center or travel desk environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA, and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Able to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Focus on maintaining a positive and professional work environment, adhering to Delta's Rules of the Road and attendance requirements.
  • Consistently making safety and security, of self and others, a priority.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
  • High School Diploma plus 2 years of relevant airline experience.
  • Contact center experience.
  • Hotel contract, crew scheduling, and/or crew operations experience.
  • Language skills including Spanish, French and/or Italian.
