About Prosper, Texas

Prosper is one of the fastest-growing communities in North Texas, with a population of approximately 42,600 (January 2024). Located in the Prosper/Frisco corridor, the area offers exceptional quality of life with immediate access to major attractions, including the PGA of America Headquarters and the upcoming Universal Studios theme park in Frisco, both within minutes of the hospital.

Position Overview

The Emergency Veterinarian will provide immediate, comprehensive care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency and critical conditions. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy high-acuity medicine, teamwork with specialists, and a supportive ER culture.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and manage emergency and critical care cases including trauma and acute illness
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning
  • Perform emergency procedures (CPR, airway management, stabilization, wound care)
  • Administer medications and advanced supportive care
  • Collaborate closely with specialists and fellow ER clinicians
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment
  • Abdominal and cardiac ultrasound experience is a strong plus
  • Ability to perform ER surgeries preferred
Qualifications
  • DVM or VMD degree
  • Rotating internship or equivalent ER experience preferred

  • Base Salary: $150,000 - $190,000
