Description:

Sarver Landscape is looking for reliable, hardworking Snow Removal Workers to join our winter snow and ice management team. This is a seasonal, on-call position responsible for helping keep commercial and residential properties safe and accessible during winter weather events.


Snow removal work is demanding and requires employees who are dependable, safety-minded, physically capable, and willing to work early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and during severe weather.

Responsibilities
  • Perform snow and ice removal at customer properties
  • Shovel and clear sidewalks, entrances, steps, walkways, and other pedestrian areas
  • Operate snow blowers, sidewalk machines, spreaders, skid steers, trucks, and other equipment as trained
  • Apply salt and other ice-melting materials according to company standards
  • Assist with snow plowing and snow removal operations
  • Monitor and maintain assigned equipment during snow events
  • Load and unload equipment and materials
  • Work safely around vehicles, equipment, pedestrians, and property
  • Identify and report hazardous conditions or property damage
  • Follow assigned routes, instructions, and company procedures
  • Communicate with Crew Leaders and Managers regarding jobsite conditions
  • Help ensure properties are completed thoroughly and on schedule
  • Perform cleanup and equipment maintenance after snow events
  • Assist with landscape maintenance and other company work when weather permits
Requirements:What We're Looking For
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Willing and able to work in snow, ice, cold, wind, and other winter conditions
  • Available on short notice when winter storms occur
  • Able to work overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Physically capable of performing strenuous outdoor work for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Safety-minded and attentive to surroundings
  • Able to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Previous snow removal, landscaping, construction, or equipment operation experience is a plus
  • Ability to operate a snow blower, sidewalk machine, skid steer, truck, or other equipment is a plus
Schedule

Seasonal / On-Call

Snow removal work is weather-dependent. Employees must be available when winter weather events require service.

Typical shifts may include:

  • Overnight shifts
  • Early morning starts
  • Daytime shifts
  • Weekend and holiday work
  • On call
  • Extended shifts during major snow events

This position requires a high level of availability during snow events.


Physical Requirements

This position involves strenuous outdoor work and may require employees to:

  • Shovel snow for extended periods
  • Push and operate snow removal equipment
  • Walk and work on uneven, slippery surfaces
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs
  • Work for extended periods in cold, snow, ice, wind, and wet conditions
