Job description

Job Overview

Reeder Distributors, Inc. is seeking a dependable Equipment Installation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will install, configure, and service automotive shop equipment including lifts, air compressors, and tire-changing machines, while working closely with clients and project teams.

Candidates with prior electrical, mechanical, or maintenance experience are highly encouraged to apply. However, if you have strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn, we offer paid training to set you up for success.


Shift and Schedule

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with flexibility to work overtime.


Compensation

  • Up to $25 per hour, depending on experience, paid weekly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and test automotive shop equipment, including lifts, air compressors, and tire-changing machines
  • Run air and electrical lines while reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Conduct site surveys to assess client needs and determine installation processes
  • Communicate with clients on-site, providing updates and training on equipment use and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and service reports
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to meet standards, timelines, and budgets

Qualifications

  • Forklift and OSHA certification preferred
  • At least one year of mechanical or related technical experience with a stable work history
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, including potential overnight trips
