Summary
Summary
All Native Group is looking to fill the A Cabling Foreman position. The Cable installer- Foreman will Supervise and Lead a crew performing various tasks such as pulling, terminating, and testing copper, cable and various other types of cable support hardware. Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Making sure everyone is working in accordance to OSHA regulations. Ensuring quality work and correct practices. This position requires technical or mechanical aptitude and/or experience to Lead a Crew on projects or MAC's to meet customers' expectations and schedules. Provide leadership and on-the-job instructions to less experienced installers.
Essential Functions
  • Cabling and conduit services
  • Lead technicians and installers to complete their tasks and responsibilities.
  • Upgrade and replacement of systems on a scheduled basis
  • Installation of new systems
  • Fulfillment of service requests for all voice and data services "moves, adds, changes, and disconnects
  • Management and maintenance of all associated computer equipment rooms within the National Capital Area Region (NCR)
  • Process configuration updates based on service changes
  • Process financial transactions based on service changes
  • Quality management activities and business process re-engineering
  • Procurement of all equipment, materials, and supplies for operations and maintenance
  • Support and the completion of all projects
  • Responsible for all onsite project activities including managing a crew, embracing, to meet project milestones and/or budget.
  • Embrace safety culture by following safe work practices and policies.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications and cut- sheets.
  • Maintain security compliance
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, paying attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions and make recommendations.
  • Ability to deliver milestones and manage crew's productivity
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers and other onsite trades.
  • Manages good housekeeping.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
  • 5 years+ experience as a Cable Forman or 3 years as a Senior Installer
  • Foreman are responsible for the safety of the crew and the public. We expect a foreman to follow all safety practices and his team.
  • The foreman is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of his crew and to meet production goals and customer requirements.
  • In addition, foreman are expected to do daily reporting of time, production and as-builds

Competencies
  • Familiar with NEC,BICSI and EIA/TIA installation Standards
  • Organized and detailed - oriented
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Supervisory Responsibility
Required for this position.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and construction environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
The preponderance of the work is performed in an office-type setting, with adequate lighting, heating/cooling, ventilation, and protection from the elements. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in high spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 5p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although about 10% out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
Experience
  • Must have 5 years of experience in telecommunication infrastructure installation
  • 3-year Experience with Wiring and Cabling to include Supervising crews for project work.

Education Desired
  • BICSI Certification
  • Fiber Certification

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • A clean driving record is required, and candidate must provide a DMV record upon offer of employment.

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen. Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
