Job description

Woofie’s Pet Service in Torrance has an opening for a Dog Walker/ Pet Sitter who will care for clients’ pets by providing them with exercise and occasional meals.   
 
Design your own schedule! This position offers a variety of possible job options; employees can choose which type of visit they would be interested in:  
 
  • Morning, evening and weekend walks/ visits  
  • Pet sitting and walks for regular workday or out of town clients  
  • At home 24 hr. Pet sitting  
  • 7pm to 7am Pet sitting  
 
Responsibilities:  
  • Visits with dogs, cats, small mammals, birds or reptiles 
  • Give exercise to the pet through walking, backyard play, and indoor play as needed 
  • Provide feeding and fresh water when needed  
  • Give medications when necessary  
  • Communicate with client via our app to share information from the day’s visit  
  • Communicate with back-office team members as necessary  
 
Qualifications:  
  • Applicants should be capable of walking, exercising, and handling the pet 
  • Experience with pets is preferred but not required, as training is provided 
  • Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen  
  • Customer service experience is a plus 
  • This job operates in clients’ homes and outdoors; necessary equipment includes a reliable vehicle and a smartphone 
Services & Rates:

  • Dog Walking: $15–$30 per walk (depending on length/time, includes tips)
  • Overnight Sitting (“Bed & Biscuit”): $75 per night
