COMPANY PROFILEThis organization is a physician-owned medical practice specializing in the care of expectant mothers and newborns. They were founded in 2016 by a small group of neonatologists serving a single hospital’s NICU. Since then, they have grown to operate in multiple states with more than 100 board certified neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and pediatric specialists on their team. They combine a national infrastructure with local support, using their breadth and depth of clinical and operational resources to allow physicians to focus their time on delivering care.
POSITION DESCRIPTIONThis position is employed by a private group, with the role based in a medical center in Tyler.
The hospital has a 9-bed Level 3 NICU, equipped with the latest technology and resources. It also has a 7-bed step down area.
The practice staffs both neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs) at the hospital. The day shifts are covered by neonatologists and NNPs. The overnight shifts are covered by NNPs with rotating call for neonatologists.
The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
The medical center uses an EHR and clinical assistants are always available to assist providers.
The schedule for the position is typically 7 on / 7 off, but is flexible and collaboratively decided among the providers.
