Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Rotating Days, 7:15am – 7:15pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembly Line Packaging Associate to join our production team. This role is responsible for inspecting, packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, follows established procedures, and works effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow all company safety rules and understand emergency machine shutdown procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment around the assembly line.
  • Calibrate and operate manual scales to verify finished product weights.
  • Collect finished product from the wrapper machine in specified quantities according to production requirements.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, correct materials, proper sealing, and visual defects.
  • Package inspected products into designated containers according to job specifications and operator or line lead instructions.
  • Feed packaged displays into the shrink wrap machine and inspect completed packages for quality.
  • Perform rework on shrink-wrapped products as needed to meet quality standards.
  • Weigh products to verify proper quantities in displays and shipping containers.
  • Label, stack, and load finished products onto shipping pallets according to job configurations.
  • Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and promptly report equipment issues to the Operator, Line Lead, or Supervisor.
  • Report non-conforming products or packaging materials immediately.
  • Follow company quality standards, recycling programs, ISO requirements, standard operating procedures, security protocols, and work instructions.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices and promptly address unsafe conditions.
  • Perform additional duties and assist in other areas of production as assigned to support operational needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with packaging, assembly, or production equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience using company intranet systems or Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
