Oracle SBC Configuration Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking an Oracle Session Border Controller (SBC) Configuration Engineer to design, configure, and support secure, scalable voice and real-time communication solutions. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining Oracle Communications SBC platforms to enable reliable SIP-based voice services, ensure network security, and support enterprise and service provider environments.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with Oracle/Acme Packet SBC configuration, strong knowledge of SIP and VoIP protocols, and hands-on expertise in securing, troubleshooting, and optimizing real-time communications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, configure, and deploy Oracle Communications Session Border Controller (SBC) solutions for enterprise and service provider environments 1 2 • Configure and manage SIP interfaces, realms, session agents, routing policies, and translation rules to support voice and unified communications services 3 4 • Implement SBC security features including access control lists (ACLs), topology hiding, DoS protection, encryption, and NAT traversal 5 6
• Support SIP trunk integrations with carriers, cloud communication platforms, and enterprise voice systems (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, Genesys) 7 8
• Troubleshoot SIP signaling, RTP media flows, codec negotiation, and call routing issues in large-scale VoIP environments 9 10
• Perform configuration changes, upgrades, and lifecycle management for Oracle SBC hardware and virtual (NFV) deployments 11 12
• Participate in operational support activities, including incident response, root cause analysis, and service restoration 13
• Develop and maintain configuration documentation, change records, and implementation guides across the service lifecycle 14

Requirements and Skills
