Treston Security Services is currently hiring professional, dependable, and experienced Overnight Security Officers for a property located in the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row area.

This position requires officers who are comfortable working overnight in a high-activity urban environment. Officers will be dealing with transients on a daily basis, conducting hourly patrols, responding to unwanted individuals on the property, and assisting with escorting unauthorized persons off the premises when necessary.

This is a hands-on security position that requires strong communication skills, patience, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct hourly patrols on each floor and throughout assigned areas

  • Monitor entrances, exits, stairwells, hallways, parking areas, and common areas

  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property

  • Deal with transients and unauthorized individuals on a daily basis

  • Professionally escort unauthorized individuals off the property when required

  • Address loitering, trespassing, and suspicious activity

  • Respond to tenant, staff, and management concerns

  • Observe and report safety hazards, security concerns, and policy violations

  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports as required

  • Communicate with supervisors, management, and dispatch as needed

  • Contact law enforcement or emergency services when necessary

  • Maintain professionalism while working in a challenging overnight environment

Qualifications
  • Valid California Guard Card (Required)

  • Previous security experience preferred

  • Experience working in DTLA, Skid Row, residential, shelter, or high-activity environments is a plus

  • Must be comfortable dealing with transients, trespassers, and individuals experiencing mental health or substance abuse issues

  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills

  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

  • Ability to work overnight shifts consistently

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

  • Professional appearance and demeanor
