As our Data Engineer, you'll build and enhance Salesforce solutions that power enterprise case management, workflow automation, document-centric processes, and data-driven decision-making in a regulated federal environment. You'll develop secure, scalable capabilities using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integrations while also supporting Salesforce data migration efforts by extracting, cleansing, transforming, validating, and loading data. You'll develop ETL processes, SQL queries, automation, and reporting solutions that ensure data quality, accuracy, governance, and successful deployments. Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, analysts, and security/compliance teams, you'll translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions and high-quality data outcomes.
Details, Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Data Engineer, Senior: $160,000-175,000
Pay commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement enhancements that improve platform performance, security, and user experience.
  • Support and leads Salesforce data migration efforts by extracting, cleansing, transforming, validating, and loading data while ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Develops ETL processes, SQL queries, and automation scripts to support data mapping, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and successful Salesforce deployments.
  • Design and develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and declarative tools (Flows, validation rules, approval processes).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and document requirements and compile structured and unstructured data in the cloud, ensuring its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness.
  • Analyze historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods.
  • Develop and implement business processes, automation, tooling, and scripting that assist in data governance.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to make decisions together and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implement case and task management capabilities, including lifecycle states, assignments, escalations, SLAs, and structured workflows.
  • Build and maintain document workflow and approvals, including metadata capture, routing, retention considerations, and auditability.
  • Develop and optimize secure data models (objects, relationships, sharing) to support complex operational and investigative processes.
  • Integrate Salesforce with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven patterns, platform events, and/or middleware (e.g., MuleSoft or comparable integration platforms).
  • Support data migration from legacy systems: mapping, transformation support, loading, reconciliation, and defect remediation.
  • Implement reporting, dashboards, and audit-support features to meet compliance and operational reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to implement platform controls aligned to federal requirements (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP-aligned environments), including logging, access controls, and secure configuration.
  • Ensure solutions meet Section 508 / accessibility requirements and follow Salesforce UX best practices.
  • Participate in Agile delivery: estimation, sprint planning, code reviews, demos, and documentation.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices using CI/CD, version control, and automated testing.

Education, Skills, Abilities Requested:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on Salesforce Developer experience.
  • Strong skills in Apex, LWC, Lightning, and Salesforce configuration (Flows, security model, approvals).
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs and building integrations with external systems.
  • Experience supporting data migration efforts (data mapping, loads, validation/reconciliation).
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce security fundamentals: profiles/permission sets, sharing, role hierarchy, field-level security, and audit considerations.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and using source control (e.g., Git).
  • Strong documentation and communication skills developed in regulated, high-security environments.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
