Freedom Detox - Full-Time RN & LPN (Overnight Shift) | Gastonia, NC

Pay: $28 - $39 per hour (based on licensure, experience, and shift differential)

Summary
Freedom Detox, a Pyramid Healthcare program, is seeking Full-Time Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our overnight team in Gastonia, NC. Overnight nurses play a vital role in ensuring continuous, high-quality care for adults in substance-use treatment, supporting client safety, comfort, and recovery during nighttime hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct nursing assessments and monitor clients throughout the night

  • Administer medications safely and accurately

  • Follow withdrawal management protocols where applicable

  • Complete COWS and CIWA scales with appropriate clients per protocol

  • Provide medication education to clients as needed

  • Coordinate with on-call medical providers for assessments and medication management

  • Maintain medical equipment in proper working order

  • Complete required trainings and mandatory continuing education

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Licensure, Education, & Experience:

  • RN: Current unencumbered RN license in NC

  • LPN: Current unencumbered LPN license in NC

  • Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification

  • Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong clinical judgment and nursing skills

  • Ability to problem-solve using critical thinking and analysis

  • Capable of handling crisis situations appropriately

  • Working knowledge of federal/state standards, regulatory compliance, and safety protocols
