Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct perioperative nursing care in an operating room environment during overnight shifts, primarily supporting urgent and emergent add-on cases.
  • Function within scope of practice to support facility needs across up to two operational overnight ORs.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and continuity of care throughout operative procedures.
  • Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including pre-start modules and documentation deadlines.
  • Participate in weekend call coverage as required, with likely Friday night on-call assignments.
  • Be available for potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November).
Required Qualifications
  • Active South Carolina RN license or Compact Nursing License (SC license in hand preferred; pending license with proof of application may be considered).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric clinical setting.
  • Minimum of 2 prior travel nurse contract assignments completed.
  • Radiation badge must be provided through the staffing agency's parent company.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in pediatric surgery and/or women's surgery.
  • Familiarity with urgent and emergent operative case management in an overnight setting.
