IMSolutions is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to support a future opportunity with a federal agency anticipated to begin in September 2026.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote/Hybrid as authorized by the Government and Company as requested by the government.

Position Summary

The Senior Policy Analyst will provide expert analysis and recommendations on acquisition-related policy matters, leveraging extensive knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, agency-specific policies, and government operations.

This position is responsible for researching, analyzing, developing, and recommending policy solutions that support agency missions and strategic objectives. The Senior Policy Analyst will evaluate existing and proposed policies, conduct independent studies, develop policy products, and provide guidance on Congressional, Federal, Departmental, and Agency policy issues. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, research, and communication skills and the ability to translate complex policy issues into practical recommendations for government leadership and stakeholders.

These functions include:

· Apply subject matter expertise in federal acquisition regulations, agency policies, and applicable statutes to analyze policy issues and provide recommendations.

· Draft revisions to existing policies and develop recommendations for new policies, procedures, and guidance.

· Conduct research and analysis related to acquisition, procurement, and organizational policy issues.

· Organize research findings and develop recommendations to address policy challenges and operational requirements.

· Coordinate and participate in complex research initiatives and policy studies.

· Prepare policy briefs, memoranda, reports, white papers, issue papers, and executive summaries.

· Conduct independent policy studies and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of current policies and programs.

· Review, monitor, and evaluate policies to identify benefits, gaps, risks, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

· Gather, analyze, integrate, and report qualitative and quantitative data to support policy decisions and recommendations.

· Research and evaluate Congressional, Federal, Agency, and Departmental policy initiatives and their potential impacts on organizational operations.

· Develop policy opinions, recommendations, and supporting documentation for leadership review and decision-making.

· Analyze legislative, regulatory, and policy developments affecting acquisition and government operations.

· Collaborate with leadership, program offices, acquisition personnel, legal advisors, and stakeholders on policy matters.

· Support policy implementation initiatives and provide guidance on policy interpretation and application.

· Develop presentations and briefing materials for executive leadership and program stakeholders.

· Facilitate meetings, working groups, and policy review sessions.

· Support audits, compliance reviews, and policy assessments.

· Maintain awareness of emerging trends, legislative changes, and best practices affecting government acquisition and policy management.

· Perform additional policy analysis and advisory services as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Business Administration, Government, Political Science, Acquisition Management, Economics, Law, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in policy analysis, acquisition policy, regulatory analysis, government operations, or a related field.

· Experience researching, analyzing, and evaluating federal policies, regulations, and guidance.

· Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and agency-specific acquisition policies.

· Experience preparing policy recommendations, reports, memoranda, and briefing materials.

· Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

· Strong knowledge of policy analysis methodologies and research techniques.

· Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, policies, and government processes.

· Ability to conduct independent research and develop evidence-based recommendations.

· Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

· Ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative information into actionable recommendations.

· Ability to obtain and maintain any required government credentials or clearances as specified by the customer.
